Job Description: Social Media Marketing Intern
We are looking to bring on a social media savvy individual with strong ethics/values who has built and maintained an audience for themselves or someone else's brand on at least one platform (Insta, Linkedin, TikTok, or Youtube).
We are a female and diversity lead firm launching a new curriculum to help jobseekers and businesses upskill to stay competitive. The interns will play an active role in engaging the world on our exciting Future of Work initiatives.
Specifics:
● Location: Hybrid (Will need to shoot content in various locations in LA area)
● Pay Rate: Unpaid initially, but potential for fulltime or part time paid position
● Start Date: April-May 2025
● Duration: October 2023–March 2024 or October 2023 - September 2025 (with
opportunity to extend)
● Time Commitment: 10 hours per week
● Recruiting: 1-2 Positions
● Desired Candidates: BA/BS student or recent graduate
● Experience: Social Media
● Supervisor: Chief Operations Officer, Lyla Skovgaard
Qualifications:
● An enthusiastic trendsetter, always looking outside of the box to push engaging content
● Exceptional communication skills, writing skills and interpersonal skills
● Video content creation experience (reels, tiktok)
● Experience with video editing software
● Works autonomously with a creative mindset
● Flexibility and a desire for endless learning opportunities
● ~10 hours per week, but can flexible depending on interns schedule
Responsibilities:
● Social Media Management: Assist in managing and growing our social media presence
by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and analyzing performance metrics to
optimize our strategy
● Assist with Campaigns: Support the development and execution of social media
campaigns, including content planning, scheduling, and tracking results
● Research and Trends: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, algorithms, and
emerging platforms to propose innovative ideas for content and engagement
● Engagement: Grow social media following via engagement, community management
and acquisition tactics, as well as respond to questions and complaints with approved
messaging
● Serves as the voice, tone, and moderator of the brand through community support.
